Lounge Life Showroom - Alexandria, Sydney

The client’s brief was to come up with an interior styling concept for their display of indoor and outdoor lounge furniture, inside a warehouse-like space in the heart of Alexandria, Sydney. The furniture, with its simple shapes and bold colours, is the protagonist of the space.

The most challenging task was to study a layout plan and flow map to be able to arrange the vast collection of items so that they look like organised interior settings able to trigger the customers emotional response, whilst ensuring clear, wide and functional pathways between the furniture. The layout encourages circulation and ensures that there is plenty of space for small crowds to move around freely.

The furniture is arranged in self-contained ‘islands’, delimited by large feature rugs and the arrangement gives the illusion of being inside a friend’s lounge room, or alfresco.

The furniture was complemented by the careful styling choice of rugs, ottomans, plants and accessories to convey a relaxed, warm, Scandinavian-inspired look in line the with the brand image.
